About the Role
- Defer to the site foreman for instruction
- Provide confident, capable labor in the execution of construction projects
- Understand the building plans, engineering requirements, and all materials for the project
- ASK QUESTIONS in lieu of making assumptions
- Provide guidance and teach learned skills to subordinates
- Be goal-driven, do not simply fill a timecard
- Complete tasks as efficiently as possible
- Make suggestions to improve efficiency
- Think critically about why tasks are being performed to ensure their purpose is always fulfilled
- Execute high-quality workmanship
- Ask about project tolerances and understand that not all projects have the same budget
- Contribute willingly to all assigned tasks, regardless of skill set - all employees will participate in site maintenance, clean up, demolition, etc., as needed
- This is can be a physically demanding position
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a skill construction roll
Specialized expertise in all or one; General Construction, Framing, Finishing Carpentry
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Will to share your knowledge to help develop the next generation of craftsmen
